Death in the City

Jan and Sa/Ruth would seem to have the ideal job acting as guides to an immortal female humanoid tourist and conducting her around the great cities of humankind scattered across the universe. An especially good job to have since one of the benefits is that they are now immortal too. The only problem is that one by one the great cities have fallen with the passing of time and human societies have become debased and are no longer what they were. With seemingly no where else to go that they have not seen already they are presently gathered around a table in a nothing bar in a nothing city at the edge of a desert in the middle of nowhere.
